Self-Expression Springboards
I'm so excited to offer you this space for what I love so much: Creative Self-Expression.
How Self-Expression Springboards Work: Every Thursday I will provide a creative catalyst, a springboard to get you inspired. My catalysts will invite your imagination, creativity and curiosity to find new ways of expressing yourself - and maybe discovering new things about yourself you didn't even know you knew!
I love how when it comes to self-expression, there is no wrong way to do it. There is no one out there exactly like you. You are a work of art with infinite facets and only you can reveal them to the world.
As Oscar Wilde once said, "Be yourself; everyone else is already taken". I just love that.
It's Easy to Participate: Share what you discover on your blog and then add a direct link to your post in the box below. This way other people can enjoy what you've created and you get to witness the creations of others. It's amazing to see how beautifully different we all are.
I'll be here every Thursday with a new Self-Expression Springboard. I hope you'll join me.
This Week's Creative Catalyst: Imagination
Imagine you at your most powerful. You rock. You are a freaking champion, and everyone knows it. We are filling a stadium to the brim, voices cheering and hearts splashing in anticipation of you making your entrance. We all know what song is going to blast through the speakers as you walk into the ring. It suits this moment perfectly. It makes you feel so good, to step into the light with this song playing...
What is the song? Oh I'm dying to know! What is it about this song? How does it make you feel? Who are you being when you walk out to this song?
You can explore this catalyst any way you choose to. Craft, video, photography, dance, writing, performance, or even by simply answering the question in one sentence. Any way you choose is expressive. Use Self-Expression Springboards and see where they take you!
thank you! i enjoyed this. see you next Thursday!

this was such a fun experiment. thank you so much for the imaginative prompt. to take the stage and sing...well, that would be so special, and I just did it in my mind! I was a real hit too :)

The coolest part was searching for the video and explaining to my kids why that song was important for me. :)
PS: yes, they tend to look over my shoulder when I´m at the laptop. *grin*
